Tian is an experienced patent agent with an electrical engineering background. He is a graduate of Quinnipiac University School of Law and holds a Juries Doctor degree from the same institution. He plans to take the New York State Bar. Mr. Tian has years of patent prosecution experience prosecuting patents for corporate assignees such as IBM, GM, Delphi, Detroit Diesel, GE, United Technologies, Boeing, Agilent Technologies, Nokia, Ericsson, Philips Electronics. Taiwan Semiconductor, AT&T, John Deere Co, etc. He is well versed in such IT fields as CDMA, GSM, SAN InfiniBand, RAID, PCI bus, wireless LAN, MPEG4, iSCSI, fiber optics, speech recognition, microprocessor design, liquid crystal display, satellite communications systems, software computer program products involving XML, JAVA. Mr. Tian has also prosecuted patent applications on turbine technology, electric circuit and system design, semiconductor fabrication and testing, internal combustion engine technology, electric motor control, electric power distribution systems, circuit breakers, etc. as well as mechanical devices. Mr. Tian also has experience working with independent inventors and small entity companies including start up companies. Before entering the patent field, Mr. Tian was a small business person, and understands the trials and travails of a growing business. In addition to speaking English fluently, Mr. Tian speaks Mandarin Chinese and has experience converting Chinese language patents into suitable English for U.S. filing.
